History

Plymovent
Plymovent was founded in 1976 under the name JH Plymoth AB. It started off life designing welding fume extraction products. At the beginning the manufacturing plant was located in Lycksele, the very northern part of Sweden. The headquarters and sales departments for both the Swedish and international markets were located in Malmö, Sweden.

In 1989 the company took over CelciusVent AB, a leading manufacturer and distributor of ventilation systems for capturing vehicle emissions. The company name was subsequently changed to Plymovent AB. In the late eighties and early nineties, Plymovent set up branch offices in Germany, United Kingdom, France, USA and Canada.

Euromate
Euromate was founded in 1975 and its initial mission was to apply the electrostatic filter principle in commercial air cleaners. The first office and factory was located in Heiloo, the Netherlands. In 1992 Euromate moved to the current facility in Alkmaar. In 1999 the company took over Lucom, the distributor of Euromate for the Benelux region.

Clean Air Group
Clean Air Group, the new holding company of Euromate, was founded in 2005. In 2006 Clean Air Group acquired Plymovent and the companies were integrated into one. In 2008 the company set up a branch in China and finally in 2008 Clean Air Group moved its headquarters from Alkmaar to Heerhugowaard in the Netherlands.

One brand - Plymovent
In 2011 Clean Air Group has started operating under one brand: Plymovent. Clean Air Group (holding company) and Euromate have been renamed Plymovent. Lucom (The Netherlands) will be rebranded second half of 2011 and Clean Air Group (South Africa) will be rebranded in 2012.
