Plymovent was founded in the seventies. In 1976, JH Plymoth AB started to design products that could extract welding fumes. At the beginning the manufacturing plant was located in Lycksele, Sweden. The headquarter and sales offices for the national and international markets were also located in Sweden, Malmö.
In 1989 the company acquired CelciusVent AB, a leading manufacturer and distributor of ventilation systems for the capturing of vehicle emissions. Then, the company name was changed into Plymovent AB. As from the late eighties Plymovent opened sales offices in Canada, China, France, Germany, United Kingdom and United States.
Euromate
Euromate was founded in 1975 in Heiloo, the Netherlands. Its initial mission was to apply the electrostatic filter principle in commercial air cleaners. In 1992 Euromate moved to the current manufacturing and office facilities in Alkmaar. In 1999 the company acquired Lucom, Euromate’s distributor in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Clean Air Group
Clean Air Group, the holding company of Euromate, was founded in 2005. In 2006 Clean Air Group acquired Plymovent and integrated both companies into one. Since 2011 Clean Air Group has been operating as one brand: Plymovent.
The companies Clean Air Group, Euromate and Lucom were renamed to Plymovent. The Euromate product label also became Plymovent.
