How does the portable welding fume extractor work
The PHV extracts welding fumes at the source, close to the welding process. Separation and filtration take place in five stages and ensure a filtration efficiency of almost 100%*.
The tangential inlet starts with cyclonic separation of larger particles. Two spark arresters prevent sparks from reaching the filter cartridge. A removable aluminium pre-filter captures larger particles while the integrated spark arrester captures finer particles.
The Dura-H main filter cartridge has a surface of 129 ft2 (12 m2), providing a long filter lifespan and consistently high filtration performance thanks to alternately sealed channel technology.
The optional activated carbon filter (FAC-HV) neutralizes unpleasant odors.
The final HEPA filter guarantees high filtration efficiency. This makes the PHV suitable as a portable HEPA fume extractor for welding, particularly for stainless steel welding fumes. In these applications, the PHV can function as a reliable stainless steel welding fume extractor portable solution.
Besides welding fumes, the PHV can also be used as a portable grinding dust extractor for light grinding operations.
