Net zero by 2025

Tackling one of the biggest challenges of our time, climate change can’t wait and neither can we.

Sustainability - Plymovent towards net zero

Our road to net zero

We are determined to fulfil our commitment to the goals of the Paris Agreement and lead our company in the transformation towards a net zero company. A huge challenge for the world and for us. One of the most important things we can do is to reduce our emissions and improve the carbon footprint. E.g. developing products and solutions with a reduced CO2 footprint in mind and reduction of our energy consumption are part of our climate strategy.

We have adopted 6 United Nations – Sustainable Development Goals, these goals are incorporated in our company DNA & Strategy.

Business sustainability

As part of our commitment to society, our people, and the environment, Plymovent conducts an annual assessment of our business sustainability practices through EcoVadis, a globally recognized leader in sustainability evaluations. This comprehensive assessment covers 21 sustainability criteria across four key areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

We are proud to announce that in our latest assessment, completed in August 2024, Plymovent earned a bronze medal with a score of 72. This means a place in the top 35% of companies worldwide.

Looking ahead, Plymovent has developed a KPI dashboard that will serve as our strategic roadmap for enhancing our ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) initiatives. This dashboard will guide our efforts to drive meaningful improvements in the areas of Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

Driving a Sustainable Future: Plymovent's ESG Commitment

At Plymovent, our commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles is the driving force behind everything we do. We’re not just talking about sustainability—we’re putting it into action, ensuring that our growth is both responsible and impactful.

Recognizing the urgency of today’s environmental challenges we are dedicated to minimize our environmental impact, promote a fair and inclusive workplace and maintain the highest standards of governance. For this journey Plymovent created 5 policies and related procedures, each with specific goals addressing a broad spectrum of ESG topics.

These policies form the backbone of our ESG Strategy as they outline objectives addressing specific sustainability challenges and demonstrate our intention to reduce impact, mitigate risk, and enhance our overall performance. To cover every aspect of ESG, we’ve structured our approach around five key pillars:

  • Environment
  • Labor & Human Rights
  • Business Ethics
  • Sustainable Procurement
  • Open Door & Whistleblower

These pillars aren’t just words—they’re the foundation of our daily operations. Through well-defined procedures, we bring our policies to life, ensuring that our sustainability commitments are translated into real-word actions. We track our progress through a robust ESG KPI Dashboard, which consolidates key performance indicators to measure the success of our initiatives.

By continuously monitoring and refining our efforts, we ensure that Plymovent’s sustainability practices are not only effective but also adaptable to the evolving needs of our business and the world around us. Our ultimate goal? To turn our ESG vision into tangible, lasting results that benefit our company, our community, and our planet.

A Plymovent forest, how about that!

Plymovent is aware of the fact that printing new literature and buying giveaways for each exhibition has a significant impact on the environment. To contribute to the health of our planet and in its effort to combat climate change, Plymovent decided to stop with printed brochures and giveaways on exhibitions. By using our online platforms, Plymovent will provide you with all the information you may look for.

But it doesn't stop there!

Instead of printed brochures and giveaways, Plymovent will plant a tree for each business card received on the Plymovent stand at any exhibition worldwide.

Plymovent partnered with ‘one tree planted’ (www.onetreeplanted.org), a non-profit organization focused on global reforestation. They have planted over 92.7 million trees in more than 80 countries across the globe since 2014. In 2022, they more than doubled the impact from 2021 - with 52.7 million trees!

So, come on with these business cards and let’s get this Plymovent forest going!
