Plymovent Privacy Policy

Plymovent Group (Chamber of Commerce Reg. no. 37120476) and its subsidiaries (‘Plymovent’ in below document) processes company and personal data through amongst others its various websites and web shops. Plymovent also processes customer data related to its business processes such as enquiries, deliveries, etc.

Plymovent (hereafter also “we”, “us” or “our”)  is the data controller. Plymovent complies with the requirements set by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) when processing personal data. This privacy statement is intended for our customers, users of our products and visitors of our website (hereafter also “you”, “your” or “my”). In this privacy statement we explain why we collect personal information, what we do with it, for how long we store it and who we may share it with. At all times Plymovent ensures that we treat your personal data as confidential.

 

Why do we collect personal information and what do we do with it?

We process your personal data for the following reasons:

  1. To administer and manage customers and users.
  2. To communicate with customers and users.
  3. To administer and execute agreements with customers.
  4. To fulfill legal obligations, f.e. civil and fiscal administration requirements.
  5. To evaluate and improve (the performance and use of) products, services and websites.
  6. To evaluate and improve our business performance.
  7. To send information about our products, services, vacancies and job applications.
  8. For marketing purposes, like news letters, to provide information about new services/products and invitations to our events.

How do we get your personal data?

We obtain your personal data directly from you. So you control what data we have. You are not obliged to provide us any personal data. However, if you don’t provide us all requested data it may be that you won’t be able to use (all functionalities of) or our products and services. Also that may have a negative impact on the way (you experience how) we execute agreements with you or keep in contact with you.

What personal data do we have

We have the following data for the purposes mentioned in this privacy statement:

  • Name and contact details: We collect first and last name, e-mail address, physical address, telephone number and other similar contact details.
  • Information about what products and services you have purchased, used or may have interest in.
  • Credentials such as username and password and the use you make of our website such as surfing behavior.
  • IP-addresses, MAC-addresses and other identifiers of users and hardware.

On what legal ground do we process your personal data?

We process your personal data because it is necessary to:

  1. Execute agreements with you.
  2. Comply with legal obligations; and
  3. Pursue our legitimate interests, such as:
    • Execution of agreements with third parties.
    • To evaluate and improve (the performance and use of) our products, services and websites.
    • To evaluate and improve our business performance.

For how long do we store personal data?

Plymovent stores your personal data as long as it is necessary to fulfill procedures for which we collected the data or as long as is required by law.

Do third parties have access to my personal data?

We may pass your contact data on to partners representing Plymovent in order to provide the service and products you require. Your personal data will also be shared with third-party service providers contracted by Plymovent, such as transportation, installation companies. All our partners and third-party service providers are located either within the EU and thus bound to compliance with GDPR or outside the EU where different regulations might apply.

We do engage with third party data processors that process your data on our behalf. These data processors are selected with care and are bound to agreements that secure your privacy interests.

Other third parties do not have access to the personal data we process. We do not sell or transfer your personal data to third parties. If we are under a legal obligation to disclose certain personal data upon request of a third party we will inform you there if we are allowed to do so.

Keep in mind that when surfing on our website it may be that you use plugins or cookies that allow third parties to track you.  

YouTube

Our website uses plugins from YouTube on certain pages. If you visit a page where we have included one of your YouTube videos, YouTube is able to track these video views. If you do not want this, please logoff from YouTube first.

Links to other websites

Our website contains links to websites of our partners and other websites, such as social media. We cannot be held liable for the content of these websites. We therefore advise you to read the privacy policies of these websites.

Use of cookies

Cookies are small files that are stored on your computer. We use cookies for marketing purposes. With these cookies we can measure more extensively recurring website visits and draw up a visitor profile. For this we use special software, Spotler B2B (cookie placement: 12 months). You have the option to switch our cookies on and off.

Statistics

We collect statistics from amongst others Google Analytics. This information includes browser type, IP address, website behavior, operating program used and the domain name of the website that redirected you to our website. We use these statistics to analyze the surfing behavior of our visitors and to optimize our website for our users. The statistics are completely anonymous.

We also collect certain statistics when you read our e-mails. This includes information about the number of times a link is clicked in such e-mails. This information is used to improve our mailings and/or to analyze issues.

Our distributors can login to our extranet. We collect and analyze this login data.

SSL encryption

Our site uses SSL encryption for security reasons and for the protection of the transmission of confidential content, such as the inquiries you send to us. This means the data you transfer to us cannot be read by third parties.

What are my rights regarding the processing activities?

You have a couple of rights regarding the processing of your personal data. You have the right to clear information on what we do with your personal data. We intend you provide you that information in this privacy statement. Also you have the right to:

  1. Access your personal data.
  2. Erase your personal data (‘right to be forgotten’).
  3. Object to certain processing activities.
  4. Rectify and complement your personal data.
  5. Restrict processing activities.
  6. Dataportability.
  7. Not to be subject to automated decisionmaking.

We reserve the right to make changes to this privacy statement. It is advisable to consult this privacy statement regularly to be aware of these changes.

We will gladly help you if there are complaints about the processing of your personal data. Under the privacy legislation you also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority about the processing of personal data. You can contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority regarding this.
