Leading Innovation in Welding Fume Extraction
Plymovent’s latest showpieces combine half a century of craftsmanship with revolutionary welding fume extraction technology. Together, they set the standard for the next generation of fume extractors. Visitors to Schweissen & Schneiden, the world’s leading trade fair for joining, cutting, and surfacing, got the very first look.
For five buzzing days, market leaders turned Messe Essen in Germany into a true hotspot for innovation. The 2025 theme — Join the Future — focused on digitalization, sustainability, and attracting top talent. Gold streamers waved above our stand, and for good reason: this year, we celebrated Plymovent’s 50th anniversary! But the real spotlight was on our newest innovations: the PowerJet range, AirJet, AeroGuard – White Edition, and our branded filters. With these, Plymovent once again raises the bar for clean air at work.
Highlights of this blog
Our latest innovations were revealed at Schweissen & Schneiden.
The PowerJet range stood out for its groundbreaking technology — a brand-new series of high-vacuum fume extractors that remove welding fumes directly at the source.
The AeroGuard air quality monitor is now also available in a sleek white edition.
The new branded filters are easy to recognize, replace, and reorder — all with the trusted Plymovent safety guarantee.
Visitors were impressed by the bold design and how easy the equipment is to use.
Designed for ease of use
Our welding fume extractors feature the latest technology and advanced control systems, but what really matters is the user. Jeroen Crezee, R&D Manager at Plymovent, explains:
“A fume extractor should be intuitive and easy to use. Welders should be able to focus fully on their work — not worry about air quality. When you’re using Plymovent products, you know you’re in good hands.”
The PowerJet range
“This is an all-new series of high-vacuum fume extractors that literally capture fumes right at the source. They’re perfect for use with welding torches that have built-in extraction or with small nozzles.
The PowerJet family covers every need — from occasional to intensive use, and from light to heavy contamination. Portable, mobile, or stationary: whatever fits your setup. They’re easy to operate and provide clear feedback, both on the display and in the mobile app.
Inside, the PowerJet units are packed with innovations, like DustLock, which ensures you’ll never be exposed to captured dust during maintenance. And thanks to ExactFlow Technology, airflow is infinitely adjustable and remains constant — perfectly aligned with the welding torch’s specifications.
With AutoCheck, our fully integrated safety system, you’re always assured that your PowerJet is running safely and effectively. The result: the cleanest air possible at your workplace. It’s no surprise the mobile PowerJet units took center stage at our booth!”
“The entire PowerJet series is a brand-new line of revolutionary high-vacuum welding fume extractors.”
The Ultra Twin: a revolutionary fume extractor
“The PowerJet Ultra Twin is the crown jewel of this range — packed with groundbreaking innovations. It’s the first high-vacuum unit on the market with two independently controlled extraction points. Each point’s airflow can be adjusted precisely and separately, guaranteeing optimal performance for both users.
That means two welders can use one unit at the same time, without affecting each other’s suction power. The crowd loved this feature! It’s great recognition for our team, who put enormous effort into developing these machines. Because besides performance, we also care deeply about design and materials — making the PowerJet series true technical showpieces.”
The AirJet
“The AirJet is a suspended air cleaner that actively removes fine dust, odors, and gases from the air. It’s ideal for workshops, warehouses, or factory halls and drew plenty of attention at the show.
You can combine different filters to fit your exact situation. The AirJet has a powerful motor that moves a large volume of air — yet it’s energy-efficient and whisper-quiet.
And here’s the best part: it can be connected to the AeroGuard air monitor. When pollution levels rise, the AeroGuard automatically tells the AirJet to work a little harder.”
“Thanks to the AeroGuard, thousands of satisfied customers now know how clean their air really is.”
The AeroGuard – White Edition
“Last year we launched the AeroGuard, our universal air quality monitor that measures eleven key air parameters and displays them clearly in an app and web portal. Visitors to our booth could see this in action in our video presentation.
By now, thousands of customers worldwide truly know the quality of the air they breathe — and by popular demand, the AeroGuard is now also available in white!”
The branded filters
“At Plymovent, we take our customers’ health seriously — no compromises. That’s why we’ve introduced our new branded filters: recognizable, easy to replace, simple to reorder, and offering the trusted Plymovent quality and safety.
They ensure you always get the real deal in a market full of lookalikes with wildly varying filter capacity and quality. And of course, they guarantee the perfect fit with our systems.
The colorful filters caught a lot of attention at the corner of our stand — and rightfully so!”
Simplicity and logic
Many visitors also discovered some of our familiar classics for the first time — like the MobilePro, DraftMax, and GoLine. Together, they completed the full picture of what Plymovent has to offer.
Dietmar Reen, Sales Engineer at Plymovent Germany, summed it up nicely:
“People were especially surprised by how logical and simple our units are to operate. So much advanced technology — yet so easy to use. That’s exactly what we aimed for. Definitely something to raise a glass to!”
