Smart Features for Safer Workspaces

Trigger HVAC or Warning Systems Automatically

Need to automate a response? AeroGuard can trigger an external system like your HVAC or a warning signal when air quality limits are passed.

Custom Calibration for Industrial Accuracy

Not all air monitors are made for industrial spaces. AeroGuard stands out with its custom calibration feature—especially useful for environments with welding fumes or diesel exhaust. This ensures reliable, precise readings that reflect your actual conditions, not generic factory settings.

Real-time, anytime

A clear 360° LED ring shows your air quality at a glance. For deeper insights, use the free mobile app or upgrade to the powerful web portal—perfect for multi-zone monitoring and historical data tracking.

Flexible Monitoring, Fixed or Mobile

Use it your way

Mount it to a wall, place it on a table, or use it on a tripod and move it around. Whether you need to monitor one area or an entire workshop, the AeroGuard gives you flexibility and full visibility across zones.

From Room to Room: See the Air. Fix the Problem.

The AeroGuard isn’t just a fixed industrial air quality monitor—it’s also perfect for short-term assessments. You can place it in one area for two weeks, collect targeted data, and then move it to another location. This gives you quick insights into how to monitor indoor air quality and make real improvements. One of our customers used this approach in a sanding area, where the data revealed their extraction system was drawing in polluted air from the adjacent welding room. The solution? Simply closing the door. Later, they tested the AeroGuard in a climate-controlled room to optimize temperature and humidity for better product quality. With this smart air quality monitor, you can make well-informed decisions tailored to every space.

What’s included in the free mobile app of the AeroGuard?

The AeroGuard app makes it easy to monitor indoor air quality in real time. It collects data from all sensors so you can check air quality anytime, right from your phone or tablet. You’ll get notifications in the app when something’s off, helping you respond quickly. The app stores 30 days of data and can be accessed by up to 3 users. Available for iOS and Android.

What does the AeroGuard web portal offer?

For larger teams or multi-zone facilities, the web portal takes your industrial air quality monitor to the next level. Upload a factory map, divide it into zones, and see live air quality data from each one. It’s great for companies working in shifts or across departments. The portal also shows dust sensor lifespan and gives you full access to historical air data for trend analysis. You’ll get notifications via the dashboard and/or email. Use it on any web browser—desktop or mobile.

Can the AeroGuard be linked to MyPlymovent.com?

Yes, the AeroGuard connects to the MyPlymovent.com platform, where you can access all your Plymovent data in one place. You’ll also find documentation, and insights from other Plymovent systems like ControlPro Connect that are installed in your facility.

Can the AeroGuard's dust sensor be calibrated for industrial environments?

aeroguard-replaceable-dust-sensor.jpg

Absolutely. AeroGuard measures particulate matter (PM) in μg/m³—like fine dust, welding fumes, or diesel soot. Most smart air quality monitors are calibrated for general environments, which can throw off readings by a factor of 2 to 4 in industrial settings. That’s why AeroGuard comes with pre-set calibrations for welding and vehicle exhaust—and the option to custom calibrate the particulate matter sensor for your exact conditions. It’s a must-have feature for any indoor air quality monitor in manufacturing facilities.

What pollutants does the AeroGuard measure—and why do they matter?

  • Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs): VOCs come from materials like glues, paints, or oils used in manufacturing. They can affect your health, especially indoors where concentrations might be higher. AeroGuard shows TVOC levels in mg/m³.
  • Temperature & Humidity: Essential for comfort and safe working conditions. Measured in °C/°F and relative humidity %.
  • Carbon Dioxide (CO₂): High CO₂ can affect concentration and decision-making. Displayed in ppm.
  • Indoor Air Quality Index (IAQ): Based on a 1–5 scale from the German Environment Agency (UBA)—the lower, the better.
  • Atmospheric Pressure: Shows pressure in hPa to detect shifts that cause discomfort or HVAC inefficiencies. Low indoor pressure can draw in hot outdoor air, increasing cooling costs.
  • Sound Pressure Level: Tracks continuous noise levels (LAeq in dB) to identify and reduce sound pollution. This makes your workspace more comfortable and compliant with occupational health standards.

With AeroGuard, a smart air quality monitor made for industry, you don’t just track the air—you understand it, so you can improve it.

Why is monitoring indoor air quality important in industrial environments?

Monitoring indoor air quality is essential for ensuring the safety and comfort of your team. In industrial settings like metal workshops, garages, fire stations, and manufacturing facilities, indoor air pollutants can easily spread from one area to another, especially through common spaces like stairwells and elevators. The AeroGuard industrial air quality monitor helps you track these pollutants, so you can address any issues before they impact employee health or violate regulations.

How does the AeroGuard help monitor indoor air quality?

The AeroGuard features a smart air quality monitor with a 360° LED ring that visually represents your air quality levels in real-time. By simply setting your preferred contaminant for monitoring, you can instantly check air quality with a quick glance at the LED ring. This makes it easy to understand and act on air quality data.

What do the different colors of the LED ring mean?

The LED ring provides a simple, color-coded indicator to help you monitor indoor air quality:

  • Green (Good): Air quality is within acceptable limits. Pollutant levels are low, and the air is safe to breathe.
  • Yellow (Moderate): Air quality is moderate. While generally safe, those sensitive to pollution may want to take precautions.
  • Red (Unhealthy): Air quality is entering unhealthy levels. Prolonged exposure could be harmful, especially for people with respiratory issues, so immediate action is recommended.

How does the AeroGuard work as an industrial air quality monitor?

In industrial environments, the AeroGuard’s LED ring helps you quickly identify when air quality is compromised. Whether you're in a manufacturing facility, a welding shop, or another industrial space, this smart air quality monitor provides a straightforward visual cue to take action when the air quality deteriorates. Its easy-to-read color indicators make it ideal for facilities that need to monitor indoor air quality consistently.
